Host a Reception or Business Meeting

Join NAPABA in Washington, D.C. this year by hosting a social hour or business during the 2017 NAPABA Convention to reach your members, alumni, or clients already attending the Convention. The 2017 NAPABA Convention will reach more than 2,000 Asian Pacific American attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students. Be part of the largest gathering of APA legal professionals of the year.

The 2017 NAPABA Convention will be held at the Marriott Marquis located right next to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and near Penn Quarter, CityCenterDC, and the Verizon Center. 

How to Schedule Your Event

  • Complete an Event Request Form 

  • Email your form(s) to Pang Moua at 

  • Once your event is approved, you will be put in touch with an event coordinator at the Marriott Marquis.  



Groups looking to host an event during the 2017 NAPABA Convention agree to abide by all operational policies and procedures that guide and govern NAPABA.


1. Any group wishing to hold any meeting or event during the 2017 NAPABA Convention must be a registered attendee. 

2. A separate and complete application must be submitted for each event. 

3. Requests are on a space available basis and are not guaranteed

4. Business meetings may only be held on Friday, Nov. 3 between 3:30 – 5 pm OR Saturday, Nov. 4 between 2 – 4 pm.

5. Receptions may only be held on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 5 – 6 pm OR Friday, Nov. 3 from 5 – 6 pm. 

6. NAPABA reserves the right to relocate any room assignment. Please do not publish the location of your event(s) until after October 20, 2017. 

7. NAPABA may list or publicize your event(s) in printed or online program materials. 

8. Groups must cover the cost of any food & beverage and audiovisual equipment ordered for their event(s) as well as any room set up and break down requests beyond the standard NAPABA room set options.

9. NAPABA has the right to leave AV equipment, podiums, head tables in rooms during your event(s). 

10. Groups will incur additional charges for equipment added on-site.

11. Standard room sets are conference, theater, or reception. Specific rooms are selected based on the estimated attendance for the event and use of room prior to the ICW event.


Fees and Requirements

  • Business Meeting: $50.00 

  • Reception/social hour: $100.00

  • Payments must be made within 30 days of the invoice order date or space will be released.
