Host a Reception or Business Meeting

Join NAPABA in Chicago by hosting a social hour or business meeting during the 2018 NAPABA Convention and reach attorneys, judges, and law students at the largest gathering of Asian Pacific American legal professionals in the country. Take advantage of this critical mass and host an event to promote your affiliate, law firm, company, or law school.

We will not be accepting request forms after Friday, Oct. 26, 2018.

How to Schedule Your Event

  • Complete an Event Request Form 

  • Email your form(s) to Pang Moua at 

  • Once your event is approved by NAPABA, you will be put in touch with an event coordinator at the Sheraton Grand Chicago to finalize your food and beverage and audio visual needs.  



Groups looking to host an event during the 2018 NAPABA Convention agree to abide by all operational policies and procedures that guide and govern NAPABA.


1. Groups must provide drink tickets for hosted bars. NAPABA recommends a maximum of one drink ticket per attendee per hour.

2. A separate and complete application must be submitted for each event. 

3. Requests are on a space available basis and are not guaranteed

4. Business meetings may only be held on Friday, Nov. 9 between 3 – 5 pm OR Saturday, Nov. 10 between 2 – 4 pm.

5. Receptions may only be held on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 5 – 6 pm OR Friday, Nov. 9 from 5 – 6 pm. 

6. NAPABA reserves the right to relocate any room assignment. Please do not publish the location of your event(s) until after October 19, 2018. 

7. NAPABA will list or publicize your event(s) in printed or online program materials. 

8. Groups must cover the cost of any food & beverage and audio/visual equipment ordered for their event(s) as well as any room set up and break down requests beyond the standard NAPABA room set options.

9. NAPABA has the right to leave AV equipment, podiums, head tables in rooms during your event(s). 

10. Groups will incur additional charges for equipment added on-site.

11. Standard room sets are conference, theater, or reception. Specific rooms are selected based on the estimated attendance for the event and use of room prior to your event(s).


Fees and Requirements

  • Business Meeting: $250/hr 

  • Reception/social hour: $750/hr

  • Payments must be made within 30 days of booking or space will be released.
