Host an Event at the NAPABA Convention

Interested in reaching NAPABA attendees gathered in Austin for the NAPABA Convention? Take advantage of this critical mass and host an event to promote your affiliate, law firm, company, legal organization, or law school.

Policies

Groups looking to host an event during the 2018 NAPABA Convention agree to abide by all operational policies and procedures that guide and govern NAPABA.

  

1.Law schools, law firms, corporations, legal organizations, and NAPABA affiliates and partner organizations are eligible to submit an event request form to host an event at the official Convention hotel.

2. Groups must provide drink tickets for hosted bars. NAPABA recommends a maximum of one drink ticket per attendee per hour. Open bars are not permitted.

3. A separate and complete application must be submitted for each event. 

4. Requests are on a space available basis and are not guaranteed

5. Business meetings may only be held on Friday, Nov. 9 between 3 – 5 pm OR Saturday, Nov. 10 between 2 – 4 pm.

6. Receptions may only be held on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 5 – 6 pm OR Friday, Nov. 9 from 5 – 6 pm. 

7. NAPABA reserves the right to relocate any room assignment. Please do not publish the location of your event(s) until after October 19, 2018. 

8. NAPABA will list or publicize your event(s) in printed or online program materials. 

9. Groups must cover the cost of any food & beverage and audio/visual equipment ordered for their event(s) as well as any room set up and break down requests beyond the standard NAPABA room set options.

10. NAPABA has the right to leave AV equipment, podiums, head tables in rooms during your event(s). 

11. Groups will incur additional charges for equipment added on-site.

12. Standard room sets are conference, theater, or reception. Specific rooms are selected based on the estimated attendance for the event and use of room prior to your event(s).

Fees and Requirements

  • Business Meeting: $250/hr 

  • Reception/social hour: $750/hr

  • Payments must be made within 30 days of booking or space will be released. 

 

Event Request Form

  • Complete an Event Request Form 

  • Email your form(s) to Pang Moua at pmoua@napaba.org 

  • Once your event is approved by NAPABA, you will be put in touch with an event coordinator at the Sheraton Grand Chicago to finalize your food and beverage and audio visual needs.
